Good day!

This blog post is about my friend’s trip to Malaysia. It got me very excited when I heard that she went to this island called, Langkwi Island. But, you won’t see that until later. For now, let’s talk about her first day in this beautiful city of Kuala Lumpur.

Shiori-san is from the Land of the Rising Sun–Japan. 2 months before the trip, her husband thought about going to Malaysia for vacation, and we are fortunate enough to be a part of their journey.

On August 6, 2016, they flew from Japan. Their first stop was in Kuala Lumpur. They had about 10 hours of free time to explore the city. They arrived at 5AM and waited for less than 2 hours and started their memorable experience.

From the airport, they rode an express train. It was a bullet train and it only took about 30 minutes to get to their first destination. Of course, all modes of transportation comes with a cost. They paid 40 Ringgit.

They visited the tourist spot Malaysia is known for–the Petronas Tower.

It was truly an amazing view for the couple. Seeing this wonderful work of art is more than enough.

Making sure that they can make the most out of this short trip, they rode a taxi and went to a temple in Batu Cave.

From this picture alone, you can see how popular this place is. Some people visit this place as a tourist but others do it because they are worshippers.

Unfortunately, my friend and her husband did not have much time to experience Batu Cave up to the top. Gladly, they still enjoyed the view. They even saw some monkeys beside the stairs. You may not see it here but for those of you who have visited this place, you have surely seen those monkeys anyway. 🙂
